“I was initially a bit hesitant, wondering if Lola might be “too old” to participate. However, these classes have given Lola a whole new enthusiasm for training! Susan has been wonderful with her, and Lola’s tail never stops wagging throughout the sessions! The classes are filled with wonderful people who share similar interests, and Lola especially enjoys the “Congratulations” parade after completing her turn. It’s low-impact, a lot of fun, and Lola always has a great sleep afterwards!” –Saoirse

All dogs must be at 20+ weeks old and have up-to-date vaccinations. While basic recall skills are helpful, they’re not required. Dogs should feel comfortable being around other dogs in motion. If your dog will struggle with this, no worries—we offer private training options just for you!
We understand that some dogs (and humans!) prefer a customised approach. We’ve got you covered with private Hoopers sessions if you:
Q: My dog has never done anything like this before – can they join?
Absolutely! Hoopers is designed to be beginner-friendly. We start with the basics and build from there.
Q: Do I need to be physically fit to do Hoopers?
Not at all! Unlike traditional agility, Hoopers is designed to be easy on humans, too. You can handle your dog from a central position.
Q: Is it really suitable for less mobile dogs?
Yes! The low-impact nature of Hoopers makes it perfect for dogs of all ages and abilities. No jumping required.
Q: What if my dog is reactive around other dogs?
Hoopers happens in a class setting so dogs will need to be comfortable around other dogs and people. If this might be a challenge, we also offer private training and can assess whether class will be suitable.
We are based in North Kildare, offering classes just 30-40 minutes from Dublin.
